The champion Máttur – video

Eiðfaxi watched closely the overview show of breeding horses which took place in Víðidalur the other day. The selection of horses presented was handsome as well as talented and as usually the highest assessed horses were awarded a prize….

Máttur frá Leirubakka received the highest total score of all the horses at the county show, a total of 8.48l. He was also the highest assessed horse in the class of stallions 7 years old and older. For conformation he received a score of 7.99 and talent 8.80. He received a score of 9.0 for tölt, pace, spirit and temperament as well as general impression. Máttur is the offsprig of Keilir frá Miðsitju and the daughter of Hervar, Hrafnkatla L52 frá Leirubakka.

The rider of Máttur was Sigurður V. Matthíasson and it should be mentioned that Sigurður presented a total of 18 horses at this show, and of those a total of 10 of them received first total prize!
