World Cup 2011

The Saga horses take in Denmark in February…..

World Cup 2011 gathers the best of Icelandic horses. The event includes two whole days with top riders, top stallions and a mesmerizing show at Arena Fyn in Denmark on February 25th and 26th 2011.

The competitions and stallion show at World Cup 2011 have already been filled with the best riders and horses from northern Europe. Among the participants are World champions and medalists from the World as well as Nordic championships, who will present fantastic horses with movements that leave no doubt about their international level. This means that the program of this year’s World Toelt can muster the same excellence in riders, toelt and entertainment as in previous years.

Utmost quality World Toelt was sold out in 2010. This of course places even higher expectations on World Toelt 2011, which has some changes compared to earlier events. In 2011 the competitions in gaites will be held on Friday and Saturday, with some exceptions for the program on Friday and the finals on Saturday, whereas in previous years the competitions took place during one day only. Bo Hansen, one of the mainstays behind World Toelt says, ‘This is just one of the additions, which is going to make the experience for 3000 spectators even more intense.’

‘We want to maintain the high quality and make it even better for riders, horses, exhibitors and spectators. We are working on improving the track, and this year it is possible to reserve seats in the arena. The stallion show will be divided into heats lasting most of Saturday. This way, all 30 stallions are not presented at once but can be enjoyed throughout the day. Furthermore, we are able to show the breeding from some very interesting stud farms. On the whole, World Toelt 2011 will give all fans of the Icelandic horse an opportunity to witness a fantastic atmosphere and legendary horses’, Bo Hansen adds.

World Toelt 2011 includes:

– Youth Match: An International match where the best young riders from the participating countries compete in gaits and toelt

– Stallion show with 30 fabulous Icelandic stallions

– Surprising breeding show with presentations from stud farms in a class of their own

– Magical atmosphere with unlimited shopping possibilities

– Interesting seminars on the Icelandic horse
