At a meeting with Jens Iversen president of FEIF International organization of the Icelandic horse, he introduced, among other things, figures showing the proportion of the Icelandic horse in the flora of horses in the FEIF member countries…
Jens explained that from this information it was evident where the marketing opportunities lie, but he thinks that the proportion of the Icelandic horse in the flora of horses in the Scandinavian countries is satisfactory and that a great increase within these countries should not be expected. On the other hand, there is a low ratio in many of the larger countries in Central Europe, and this is clearly where the opportunities are.
