The community of horse people
It reminded me of some film about the “Amish” people in America, rather than life in a horse peoples community here in Iceland…
When the Eiðfaxi reporter was passing through the horse stable area in Mosfellsbær last weekend, lots of people had gathered together. And this was astonishing as just a few days ago this place was all in ruins after the grand fire which burnt down the stables, but now there was a new building being built. The walls have already been constructed and the structure of the house can be seen.
Most of these people are working as volunteers and there is great unity amongst the people in the Hörður horse club.
This is very pleasant and fills ones heart of thankfulness to see that this is actually happening during times of great stress and pressure. Eiðfaxi will be keeping an eye on the progress in the area..
