The World Championships of Icelandic Horses 2011 at the “Islandpferde Reithof Piber”
„Magic People“ at the World Championships of Icelandic Horses 2011…

St. Radegund, October 2010 – Construction work, planning of the camping site, or the organization of catering – our volunteers are around, wherever lots of work needs to be done. This work requires lots of enthusiastic hands to make the World Championships of Icelandic Horses an unforgettable experience. Since the World Championships will be an unforgettable and magical event a dynamic team of 400 volunteers will be needed. All those who want to be part of this unique project can sign on our website www.islandpferde-wm.at/volunteers. We are really looking forward to all applications of many „magic volunteers.“

Who can be a volunteer at the World Championships 2011?  
For a major event like the World Championships, you need a lot of hard-working, helping hands in front of and behind the scenes. Furthermore it is important to remember that every individual represents the international equestrian scene and thus acts as an ambassador of the Icelandic Horse. So if you are at least 16 years old, you like to work in teams and furthermore take responsibility, have representative appearance and demonstrate knowledge of English – you would be the perfect volunteer to us! Of course, the welfare of all volunteers is our major concern, hence food and lodging will be provided as well as a seat on the tribune. These are just some advantages that can be enjoyed by our volunteers. „On behalf of the World Championship Organization Team, we would like to thank all volunteers sincerely for the applications we have received until now. It is really great to see how many people want to be part of this great event, „said Elke Beckedorf and Carmen Baldus leaders of the volunteer coordination.

All definite tasks of the volunteers who have signed up will be communicated in months in April and May 2011.

The “Islandpferde Reithof Piber”
Meeting place for leisure – riders and international sport – riders
Within the beautiful landscape of upper Austria you can find the “Islandpferde Reithof Piber” where the proper handling of the Icelandic horse and the art of its riding is taught for more than 10 years. Since 2002 the horse yard has become indispensable from the national and international tournament scene. Optimal training facilities and international coaches provide a perfect education and training of horses and riders. High-profile sporting events – such as the Austrian Championships, World Championship qualifying events, IPZV tournaments as well as the FEIF Youth Cup – dominate the agenda of the “Islandpferde Reithof Piber”. „The magic gaits“ is the slogan of the upcoming sport highlight, which is the World Championships for Icelandic Horses 2011 – from the 1st of August 2011 to 7th of August 2011 in St. Radegund / Upper Austria.
