Guðmar is very active marketing the Icelandic horse and participates annually in various shows in order to introduce the horse. Following a large show last fall, the Icelandic horse was introduced in a popular television show. Eiðfaxi received further information on this event.

Guðmar Þór: “When we were at the World Equestrian Games, a television show was produced about us. The announcer and producer Rick Lamb took some riding lessons from me and following he got to ride with us at the show rehearsals. Rick was riding the horse Pegasus frá Skyggni and did a very good job.

Rick is well known in the US, where he supervises a television show called “The horse show with Rick Lamb” and he also has a radio show. Also he supervised the well known training competition “road to the horse” which Clinton Anderson, Chris Cox, Stacy Westfall and John Lyons have processed in a very memorable way.

The World Equestrian Games is the largest horse tournament in the world, and we had a show there every day for eight days, each performance lasting for 30 minutes at a time, and this was a mixture of an introduction presentation and a show.

The Horse show with Rick Lamb is broadcasted at RFDTV which is a television station mainly concentrating on horse shows where Clinton, Chris, Pat Parelli and others have their own introduction presentations.

„Already, I have received some feedback from this show and probably there are millions of people who watch the show, so I look at this as a great marketing opportunity“ Guðmar finally said. Eiðfaxi will be keeping an eye on the marketing work in the US with great interest.
