Von is topmost, Gjöf in third place – mares from Sweden score lower

The Norwegian mare Von frá Vigra is topmost in the class of older mares after the first round for talent assessment…..

She received the fantastic score of 8.62 for talent, and yesterday she received a score of 8.68 for conformation therefore having a total score of 8.65. Von is out of the son of Angi, Nökkvi frá Vestra-Geldingaholti and Hel frá Gullberastöðum, who the offspring of Stígur frá Kjartansstöðum.

In second place is Odda fra Gultentorp in Denmark, who received a score of 8.59 for talent and a total score of 8.32.
Our mare is in third place, which is Gjöf frá Magnússkógum, who received a score of 8.24 for talent and a score of 9.0 for general presence. As a total score, Gjöf has a score of 8.23 which is quite a bit lower than the score 8.55 which she received in the assessment last spring. The assessment of Gjöf is here below.

The mares from Sweden have not been as successful in the breeding assessment as they were in their home country and it is quite notable that all of them lower in score for talen. Meyla från Jemthagen lowers her score from 8.80 down to 7,.8 and Ásdís från Knutshyttan lowers her score from 8.58 down to 8.00 and Frísk fran Knubbo comes down from 8,6 to 8.31.
