Aðalmarkmið Félags Tamningamanna er að stuðla að réttri og góðri tamningu og meðferð íslenska hestsins sem og að stuðla að bættum hag félagsmanna sinna. Félagið fordæmir þær aðferðir sem viðhafðar eru í myndbandinu og hefur vísað málinu til aganefndar félagsins.

Statement from FT, The Trainers Association of Iceland
Due to a video that has surfaced online, were a young woman uses unapropriate and unprofessional training methods, FT would like to state the following.
FT´s primary goal is to promote the correct and proper training and treatment of the Icelandic horse as well as to contribute to the added benefit of their members.
The association condemns the methods used in the video, and has referred the matter to the Disciplinary Committee of the Association.
