Magnús and Hraunar world champions – Árni Björn and Aris in third place

There was great excitement in the fantastic finals of A-class five gaits at the tournament…..

Vignir Jónasson and Kraftur frá Bringu had a powerful start, receiving the highest grade 9.0 for tölt. Then, Josefin Birkebro and Kjarni vom Wallberg took the lead after the walk, but they had received the highest grade for trot.

But it was the winners from the B-finals, Magnús Skúlason and Hraunar frá Efri-Rauðalæk, who charmed the judges with a fantastic performance. They arrived at the track and worked themselves upwards with every gait and then concluded the competition by receiving the highest grade of all the competitors for pace – 9.17.

At this time Magnús and Hraunar repeated the success of the last tournament when Stian Pedersen and Tindur frá Varmalæk won the event by taking the “long route” towards the title. Perhaps Hulda og Kjuði are in the mood to do just that!

Árni Björn Pálsson and Aris frá Akureyri performed their show with a great deal of security and discipline, and received for example 8.33 for pace and ended in 3rd place. Great achievement on behalf of Árni Björn!

Rúna Einarsdóttir Zingsheim and Freyr vom Nordsternhof were in 5-6th place.
