Fairy tale horses and amazing riders – video

One of the largest horse festivals of the world, Equitana, was hosted in Essen, Germany in March 12-20 last. .

Rúnar Þór Guðbrandsson was in Essen and photographed some of the best from this flamboyant grand show called Hop Top Show.

Among the acts was the amazing man Lorenzo who controls his twelve horses without tack, standing on their backs. Frederic Pinion fascinates the spectators when he demonstrates to the spectators how strong the relationship between man and horse can be. The actors go to great lengths in their roles as Roman daredevils and riders of the middle ages and tens of horses break from the Trojan horse and the Icelandic horses deliver a show with a few neatly performed bows.
