Usage of diagonal nosebands still permitted in breeding assessments
FEIF breeding committee held a meeting in Malmö last weekend where a proposition was discussed regarding breeding assessments and the ban of using a diagonal noseband along with an English noseband when riding with sliding cheek bit with a chain.
This proposition was abolished. The committee did not feel that the arguments were substantial enough in order to put a ban on this equipment. The committee asked to see the outcome of a research which has been done on bridle equipment before they could make a final decision in this matter.
The usage of angled nosebands was not permitted last year, neither in the sports- nor gæðinga competition in all the FEIF member countries.
