Sara is topmost

The powerful rider Sara Ástþórsdóttir and her horse Díva frá Álfhólum won the competition in the Masters League for the second time when they managed to win the really strong loose rein tölt competition.  In second place was Jakob Svavar Sigurðsson riding Alur frá Lundum, and they were on top after the preliminary competition. In third place was Hulda Gústafsdóttir and Sveigur frá Varmadal who earlier that evening were winners in the B-finals.

Winners in the loose rein tölt was the Ganghesta/Málningar team and the trophy will be given to the team which receives the highest points out of the preliminary competition.

Really powerful pace horses came from the snow storm through the Ölfus arena. The flying pace competition was extremely exciting. It were the young pace riders Valdimar Bergstað and Prins frá Efri-Rauðalæk and Ragnar Tómasson and his horse Isabel frá Forsæti who went pacing through the arena at exactly the same time, 5.68 seconds.  But as Ragnar did not quite manage for Iisabel to pace in their second sprint, it was Valdimar and Prins were winners. In third place was Sigurbjörn Bárðarson riding Flosa frá Keldudal and went on flying pace through the arena at 5.9 seconds.
„The Flying pace“ shield was given to the Árbakki/Norður-Götur team.

With her victory in the loose rein tölt, Sara went on top in the individual competition of the Masters League. The double victory by the riders in the team Ganghestar/Málning and the team was in second place in the team competition behind Top Reiter/Ármót. Here below is the position in the league now, when two tournaments are still to be held.
