Today, Bergþór Eggertsson rode Lótus, his pace horse and world champion, a pace sprint of 250 m at 21.5 seconds…

This sprint was made at a preliminary tournament in Hirtenhof.

This timing was electronic and conditions were legal so that this timing will most likely be recognized. The former record had been done by Sigurbjörn Bárðarson riding Gordon frá Stóru-Ásgeirsá was 21.16 seconds from the year 1999.
