Dorrit and Dagur lead the group ride

About seven thousands guests are gathered in Víðidalur, and horse peoples Landsmót  is reaching the highlight.

The weather prospects look good for the coming days, temperature about 16 C and clear skies tonight when the formal opening ceremony of Landsmót will proceed, and it will commence about 20:30 hrs. This event will be broadcasted live at visir.is
 
The opening ceremony for Landsmót is always a ceremonious event, not least the group riding where hundreds of horses and riders from horse clubs around the country participate in. Leading the group the president’s wife Dorrit Moussaieff along with the President of the City council in Reykjaík,  Dagur B. Eggertsson.
 
Following this event there will be entertainment where among others the band Reiðmenn vindanna with Helgi Björnsson, KK, Ingó veðurguð and others will appear.
