Breeding assessment (BLUP) has been updated

On top on the list of the breeding assessment for mares are Trú frá Auðsholtshjáleigu and Gígja frá Auðsholtshjáleigu and both of them have 127 points as s total BLUP score. Both Trú and Gígja received honor prize winnings for their offspring last year and Gígja received the popular Gletta trophy, which is rewarded to mares receiving the highest total breeding assessment. Following them is Þoka frá Hólum and she has 125 points as a total breeding assessment and therefore a likely receiver of the Gletta trophy this year. The stallion receiving the highest total BLUP score is Spuni frá Vesturkoti and he has received a total of 133 points. Equal and following him are Arion frá Eystra-Fróðholti and Gári frá Auðsholtshjáleigu with a total of  129 points for breeding assessment each but last year’s receiver was Gári frá Auðsholtshjáleigu.

For the sake of enjoyment it could be mentioned that Trú frá Auðsholtshjáleigu was led to Spuni frá Vesturkoti this summer, so it will be exciting to see that BLUP-bomb after a few years.
