Benedikt would like to approach the basis of interplay

 

Benedikt Líndal will be hosting at the FT jubilee festival on coming Saturday. 

 

There is no need to present Benedikt to horse people. He is one of the five riding instructors in Iceland with titled as an A-riding instructor’s right as well as a master’s degree in horse training from FT – Association of Trainers. He has worked as a riding instructor, in riding, and horse training here in Iceland as well as abroad, he has published instructional videos and educational books on in riding and training and is the designer of Benni´s Harmony riding gear. At this time he works around the clock in riding horses and training them in Borgarnes, and he says that he has many young horses inside his stable at this time. 

 

“I will take a part of what I do here at home, with me to Reykjavík. I plan to work with about two to three horses at different stages in training and let people watch my working methods. I will attempt to approach the bases for interplay, and this is when the horse is satisfied and content while working. It is only then that there is basis for interplay” Benedikt says. 

 

When asked about the importance of FT, Association of Trainers for equitation in general, Benedikt says that it is very clear. “The Association of Trainers should be the leaders on horse friendly methods in the development of in riding and training of the Icelandic horse.”

The program at the FT jubilee will be from 10:00-16:00 hours and is for the most part a mixture of variable kinds of demonstrations by horse trainers and riding instructors, also a new competition event which has been developed by a committee within FT and will be introduced at this time. The admission fee will be Ikr 1.500 which is valid for all the different events of the day.
