Fantastic comeback
This morning, Fláki frá Blesastöðum 1A passed his contenders and went up to the top seat in A-class gæðingar, when he received a score of 8,79.
Fláki is a 7 year old black horse with two stars, a stallion out of the breeding stock of Magnús Trausti and Hólmfríður at Blesastaðir 1A. He is out of Gígjar frá Auðsholtshjáleigu and Blúnda frá Kílhrauni. He was presented for breeding assessment at Landsmót last year and then he received a total score of 8,49, for talent 8,71 and was in 3rd place in the class of 6 year old stallions.
The rider of Fláki is Þórður Þorgeirsson and he has during the past few years been concentrating more on the breeding horses than the competition and was among other things chosen the horse breeding rider of the year at horse people’s harvest festival last year. What a fantastic comeback on behalf of this great rider.
