„Lotta is incomparable“

Hans Þór Hilmarsson won the B-finals of the A-class gæðingar with supremacy riding the pace horse Lotta frá Hellu. They received 8,96 for pace and 8,86 for spirit and temperament. Hans ws having the Lotta´s feet examined and also present was his girlfriend Lóa Dagmar Smáradóttir, when the reporter caught them for an interview.

Lotta is an 11 year old mare and the owner is Lóa Dagmar, she comes from her fathers horse breeding, and her father is Smára Gunnarssonar. Lotta was presented for the breeding judges last year and received a great score of 8,36 for qualities and among those is 9,5 for pace. „She is sensitive and spirited with great natural pace,“ Hans told the reporter about Lotta and she has been training the mare for the past two years.  „There is no one like her,“  Lóa Dagmar adds. It could be mentioned for the sake of entertainment that Lotta has the same mother as the sister of Isabel frá Forsæti, one of the best known pace horses in this country.

When asked about his opinion on his contenders in the A-class, Hans did not have a lot to say.  „I have a good feeling about the finals, there are a lot of good and strong horses there,“ he said and the A-finals will be held on Sunday at 14:15 hrs.
