Which riders will be nominated as the gæðinga riders of the year?

Yesterday, we posted a news report about which ones we felt was likely to be nominated as the sports rider of the year and now we will release the list over those we think are likely to be nominated as the Gæðinaa rider of the year. The riders will be posted in an alphabetical order and please note that this is not a final list, but rather the journalists´ speculations.

Gæðinga rider of the year 2012
•    Einar Öder Magnússon winner in the B-class at Landsmót last summer riding Glóðafeykir frá Halakoti.

•    Guðmundur Björgvinsson was in second place in the B-class at last summers´ and Landsmót riding Hrímnir frá Ósi. Also, Guðmundur was the winner in A-class at the Geysir Grand Tournament riding Snævar-Þór frá Eystra-Fróðholti.

•    Sigurbjörn Bárðarson was in third place in A-class at the Landsmót in Reykjavík riding Stakkur frá Halldórsstöðum and won the A-class at the Andvari Masters tournament riding Stakkur the eighth time in a row.

•    Sigurður Sigurðarson won the A-class at Landsmót in Reykjavík riding Fróði frá Staðartungu. He was in third place in the B-class at Landsmót riding Loki frá Selfossi. Also he won the B-class at the Geysir Grand tournament riding Blæja frá Lýtingsstöðum with a score of 9.26 which is among the highest score ever given in the B-class gæðingar.

•    Þórður Þorgeirsson was in second place in A-class gæðingar at the Landsmót, after having been leading the competition after both the preliminary and the intermediary. Also, Þórður won the A-class at the gæðinga tournament in Agiedenberg, Germany riding Fláki frá Blesastöðum 1A.
